Minimalist Modern Summer Hoop Wreath Tutorial

If you know me, you know that the way to my decorating heart is florals! No matter the time of year, I'm in the mood for any style bouquet and I love sprinkling fresh and faux flowers throughout my home. As the summer months approach, I always love to keep things simple and fresh so today I'm sharing a minimalist modern summer hoop wreath tutorial.

This wreath tutorial is part of the Seasonal Simplicity Series where several talented home decor bloggers are sharing their interpretation of a summer wreath and there is a ton of inspiration! I'm really excited for all of the wreaths below, so I really hope you scroll down and check everyone out!

This minimalist modern summer wreath is all about bang for your buck! It has great impact, it is easy to put together and is super affordable - I actually spent $0 putting this wreath together because I already had everything on hand .

This wreath is also really versatile! You can use fresh or faux eucalyptus and it can remain a decor piece in any part of your home. Wreaths don't always have to go on your front door - I actually put this on the doors to my master bedroom and the look is just fantastic! I often get questions about my master bedroom makeover and you can find more details here.

Here's what you will need: 1) an assortment of faux or fresh greens 2) an assortment of faux or fresh spring flowers if you want to add some texture 3) rubber bands cut up into strands or floral wire 4) round metal hoop 6) command strips and hook

Let's get started! 1) Place your metal hoop on a flat surface and take large stems of eucalyptus and place them on one side of the metal hoop. The eucalyptus stems should be oriented in the same direction. Tie down these larger stems using the cut up rubber bands or floral wire.

2) Layer in smaller pieces of eucalyptus on top of the larger stems to create a cascading effect. Secure these pieces onto the metal hoop.

3) In between the eucalyptus stems, add in neutral flower stems to create visual interest.

4) Place command strip and hook where you would like to showcase your wreath. Once you place your wreath on the hook, fluff up the eucalyptus leaves to make them look fuller. Secure additional stems that may be falling out of place.

And there you have it! A minimalist modern summer hoop wreath that was easy to put together and literally cost nothing!
